The Language Arts/Humanities Block offers a variety of professional development opportunities for educators. Our goal and major emphasis for all our work in professional development is to “serve as a catalyst for student success through commitment to partnership with school districts, and parents; providing leadership for quality instruction and support programs for all students.” Workshops may vary from year to year to meet the needs of teachers and administrators, Program Improvement schools and State and Federal legislation.
The Coaches' Support Network is a cadre of academic coaches/educational leaders
who meet monthly for coaching strategies that can be connected to
content-specific areas. Meetings include a luncheon, academic coaching
strategies, and a breakout session for math and Language Arts professionals to
connect coaching strategies to their specific framework and to discuss
"burning issues" in content-specific areas.
